About · YiG

AI drafts your close.
Your team ships it.

YiG is a drafting layer for finance teams. We run inside the tools your reviewers already use — Excel, Slack, Teams, your own data stack — produce GL reconciliation drafts, variance bridges, and audit-ready evidence, and hand them to your reviewers for sign-off. No new dashboard. No vendor data plane. Audit log emitted into your own observability stack.

Why this exists

Most finance automation tools assume your team will change how they work to fit the tool. We take the opposite position: the agent should fit where work already happens, and it should produce drafts, not decisions.

The reviewer keeps the sign-off. The tool removes the manual preparation between source data and a shippable artifact. This is the boring version of AI in finance — not a co-pilot that takes over, not a black-box decision-maker, just a disciplined drafting layer with an audit trail attached to every output.

Where YG runs

Same operations, different surfaces. A reviewer signs off the same bridge_item_id whether they're in a Slack message, an Excel review pane, or a terminal.

  • CLI. yigthinker workflow draft review — for operators in a terminal.
  • Slack / Teams / Feishu. Reviewer cards with accept/reject buttons; every approval is captured in the audit log.
  • Excel add-in (PowerPoint next). Office add-ins with =YIGAI() formulas, BYOK inference, data never leaves your Office environment.
  • API. FastAPI gateway for scheduler triggers, CI hooks, and workflow-engine integrations.

See the workflow end-to-end on the YiG Finance page or YiG Thinker page — the loop, the audit log, the output.

What you won't see us do

  • No vendor-side audit store. YiG emits structured audit records via logging.getLogger() — you forward them to your SIEM. There is no YiG-hosted copy. Details on the security one-pager.
  • No fabricated customer outcomes. Until the first paid Q-close ships and the customer signs off on disclosure, this site says exactly that. No invented metrics.
  • No multi-tenant SaaS in the current architecture. Three deployment modes (local / customer VPC / single-tenant managed) only. If we ship a SaaS tier, it'll be a separate architecture announced in advance.
  • No "skip review" mode. The reviewer gate is enforced at the architecture layer — no excel_write.complete against a customer output path without a preceding human draft.transition with to=approved.

The team

YiG is built by Jerome Gao and contributors. Jerome has spent years in finance data infrastructure and saw the same pattern repeatedly: powerful tools that required everyone to change their workflow, versus simple scripts that actually got used. YiG is the disciplined version of the second option — agent-grade reasoning delivered without a UX tax.

We're in private beta. If you work in finance or data and want to try it, see the pilot scope and apply via the waitlist. We review every application.
